About All Tribes American Indian Charter School

Being a small school has its benefits! Our teachers know their students' likes/dislikes and support their interests by providing extracurricular activities. Field trips, regular surfing outings, bird dancing, drumming, FFA Conferences and Native American Conferences are all part of the curricular framework. Speech, poetry and literary competitions also add to the academic standards.

What makes All Tribes unique is the personalized learning experience a student receives. Teachers help students choose courses according to their desired college or career path; therefore, students feel motivated and in control of their learning. This is made possible through Acellus, a nationally accredited online learning systemOur motto is, “If students don’t learn the way we teach, then we need to teach the way they learn.”

All Tribes Charter School is located centrally to seven Indian Reservations in North San Diego County. These reservations include: La Jolla, Rincon, San Pasqual, Pala, Pauma, Mesa Grande, Santa Ysabel. The students we reach are predominantly Native and thus they feel a sense of belonging. Many Native students, especially boys, wear their hair culturally long and in a braid. Girls wear traditional dresses and dance to Bird Songs during special occasions. While this is typically unrecognized in traditional public schools, here this is celebrated and understood.
